Christmas Market
The traditional Lienz Christmas Market takes place during Advent each year. The Lienz Christmas Market daily opens its doors on the main square with Christmas illuminations immediately before the Liebburg and the giant Advent Calendar, which is designed every year by artists of the region. Gift ideas, Christmas decorations, traditional handicrafts and many culinary delicacies invite one to linger at the market square to the sound of Christmas carols. Dolomite Run
The Lienz cross-country skiing club organises the traditional Dolomite Run in January. Three exciting events with participants from all over the world make this competition something very special, and it is also a part of the Worldloppet series.
