Ski Tours

Kilometers of downhill rides in the Lienz Dolomites

The right equipment

Because ski touring also involves going uphill on skis, the equipment for ski touring differs in a few ways from regular skiing gear:

  • Shorter and wider touring skis for the deep snow
  • Touring-ski bindings
  • Skins for the climb up
  • Avalanche equipment
  • Telescopic poles
  • Ski crampons if needed

If you want to go on a ski tour for the first time, it is highly recommended that you go with a trained ski and mountain guide. Awaiting you in the virgin terrain are genuine, amazing experiences. However, problems may arise with regard to weather, avalanche danger, and navigation if you are not adequately prepared.

Experience unique ski tours in Eastern Tyrol close to Lienz. After the climb comes the real enjoyment: take deep breaths of the fresh mountain air, enjoy the view, and look forward to a long downhill ride through deep snow on pristine slopes.

Extended ski runs with magnificent views

The more patience and effort you put into something, the greater the reward. This definitely applies to ski touring in Eastern Tyrol. Awaiting ski tourers in the mountains of Lienz are climbs of up to 1,300 vertical meters – followed, of course, by long valley rides with fantastic views.
