Holidays with the motobike

Short Dolomite Tour (ca. 125km)

From Vergeiner's Hotel Traube, you drive through the Pustertal valley towards Italy. In Arnbach, you leave Austrian territory and enter Innichen. Here, a stop in the charming old town is highly recommended. After Innichen, turn left and head towards Sexten, at the foot of the Sexten Dolomites. Over the Kreuzbergpass (1636 m), you enter the Veneto region. The return journey takes you through St. Stefano, Auronzo, the beautiful Misurina Lake, and Toblach, before heading back to East Tyrol.

Pustertal High Alpine Road (ca. 70 km)

The Pustertaler Höhenstraße is one of the most scenic roads in the Pustertal valley and a popular route for motorcyclists and cyclists. From Vergeiner's Hotel Traube, you drive along the federal road to Leisach, where you turn right onto the Pustertaler Höhenstraße. The road takes you past the Lienzer Klause, through Bannberg, Assling, Kosten, Vergein, St. Justina, and Abfaltersbach (982 m), from where you can return to Lienz either along the B100 or the Höhenstraße. At the highest point, the road reaches an altitude of 1800 meters. The route is characterized by rural landscapes, preserved traditions, and numerous cultural sites. In Bannberg, you can also take a toll road to reach the Hochstein area above the town of Lienz.

Around the Grossglockner

The most fascinating high-altitude roads in the Alpine region: Circumnavigate the Großglockner by motorcycle! A tour over toll roads and through the Hohe Tauern National Park. From Vergeiner’s Hotel Traube, you start the motorcycle tour around the Großglockner towards Heiligenblut. The route takes you over the Iselsberg, to Winklern, and then to Heiligenblut, where you’ll join the famous Großglockner High Alpine Road. The serpentine curves of the high alpine road take motorcyclists up to 2,504 meters. Just before the Hochtor, you can make a detour to the Edelweißspitze and/or Franz-Josef-Höhe for a view of the Großglockner. The route continues over the Fuschertörl to Zell am See and Mittersill. From there, you return to Lienz via the Felbertauernstraße.
